DescriereGuitar Hero: Metallica este al 4-lea joc din seria Guitar Hero, dupa Guitar Hero Legends of Rock, Guitar Hero Aerosmith si Guitar Hero World Tour. Jocul este dezvoltat de Neversoft (Xbox 360 & PS3), Vicarious (Wii) si Budcat (PS2), jocul fiind compatibil cu chitarele, tobele si microfoanele seriei Guitar Hero.
Soundtrack-ul jocului va fi compus din 28 de melodii ale formatiei Metallica, plus inca 21 melodii care au influentat evolutia trupei.
Pana in acest moment, melodii precum Master of Puppets, Enter Sandman, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Fuel, Sad but True, The Unforgiven si Wherever I May Roam au fost confirmate ca vor fi prezente in jocul original. Deasemenea, formatii precum Slayer, Machine Head, Children of Bodom, Judas Priest si Alice in Chains vor avea cate o melodie pe soundtrack-ul original.
